Tucked in one of Auckland’s most historical and charming buildings is a little oyster den with a martini buzz, Rockefeller Oyster Bar.

Rockefeller Oyster Bar -a secret between locals, after-work indulgers and party animals alike (our private functions are a bit of a thing, too).

Named after the preparation of oysters Rockefeller, Tim Arnold (ex Moo Chow Chow, Clooney, Cibo, Euro and NZ band Pluto) and Camilla Martin (ex bFM) set about the bar's inception in 2015 after realising there was nowhere intimate and urban they themselves could go to let loose in while eating oysters and having the odd quaff of bub, while the babysitter took care of their four kids at home (the fifth one works with his Dad at the bar). Tim had been working in hospitality himself since his teens and felt the time was right to get this dream into his car.

Operating under the ethos of Luxury Punk, the two have set out to offer a unique experience for diners wanting something special: top service, simple dishes (we are an oyster bar, after all) and grower Champagne by the glass without the stuffiness and pretension often included in the oyster and Champagne marriage.

Everyone is welcome.



Come in and tilt a few back from 7-9pm, Monday-Thursday and indulge in our unique grower Champagnes which are available by the glass!
